Web sites and e-media are essential in any institution’s communication efforts. The internet is the most frequently used tool by traditional undergraduate students to develop a “short list” of prospective colleges. E-newsletters are used by colleges to stay in contact with prospective students. In addition, web-based instruction is increasingly seen as a necessary content delivery vehicle for many universities. On the alumni and development side, university “lifetime” e-mail accounts and online announcements make keeping up with the college as easy as logging on to the computer. |
